Our Founder's Story
Passion and Authenticity
The story of Country Girl Soulfood and Seafood begins with a young girl Keya standing on a milk crate in her grandmother's kitchen, bathed in the aromas of slow-simmered southern dishes and wrapped in unconditional love. Inspired in the heart of South Carolina, Keya transformed a lifetime of lessons about food, faith, and family into Central Florida's beloved catering service. In 2016, she answered a calling to bring her heritage to the wider community. Every event is a celebration of resilience and togetherness, founded on the principles learned by her grandmother's side. Through every pan of fried chicken and every scoop of banana pudding, Keya remains dedicated to sharing the spirit that first shaped her - honoring her family, treating guests as kin, and ensuring every flavor sings with authenticity. Each meal is prepared with an open heart, so every guest feels the warmth, care, and dedication woven into her lifelong dream come true.
